Nutritional Sciences Graduate Student Association (NSGSA)

All Nutritional Sciences graduate students are automatically members of NSGSA. The Association strives to provide an opportunity for professional development and to foster a sense of community among the grad students. NSGSA hosts a number of events throughout the year. Some of the events are social activities designed just for fun, such as picnics, cook-offs and bowling. Other events, like the annual symposium and quiz bowl, are designed to have educational value.

At the symposium, graduate students present their research in the area of nutritional sciences. The day includes student competitions in poster and oral presentations and a keynote speaker. This is a fun and valuable opportunity for students to present their research to peers and faculty while practicing for presentations at national meetings. Winners of the poster and oral competitions receive cash prizes.
